OTRA Williams, NM to Monument Valley, UT
While in the camper in Williams, I decided to plan our trip back East. I had decided I really didn't want to go to Las Vegas (once a consideration). Looking at a map of the area, I saw that Monument Valley wasn't far at all from us, so I decided we'd go North to the Valley and make our way to I70, then to Denver.
This was one of the best decisions I have ever made !!!! The trip on two lane routes 160 & 163 proved to be OK for camper travel. As we approached Utah, the landscape made my jaw drop! It was amazing. The drive ended with our turning into Goulding's CG, passing thru huge red rock mountains on either side only to be greeted with an astonishing view from the campsite of the tall spires in Monument Valley. Amazing .....
